We invite you all to a weekend campout on our property in Calais, Maine. 2 Zephyr Lane, Calais, Maine 04619 Location is five miles from the Canadian border crossing in St Stephen, New Brunswick. We have a total of 49 acres, 9 of them are open fields, close to the house. There are plenty of spaces for tents and parking. We can accommodate several RVs, however we cannot guarantee that you will be able to hook up to electricity or water.
Please bring a tent, sleeping bags and what you feel you will need to be comfortable! For people traveling from far away, we will try to have some extra tents and sleeping materials, but please message us beforehand if you feel this is something that you might need. Additionally, camping supplies can also be purchased at Johnson's True Value or Walmart, both in Calais, Maine.
We will provide port-a-potties, handwashing stations, and Blaire is attempting to make some gravity fed showers! And, fear not, our Finnish friends; Philippe is working on plans for a sauna!
We hope you will stay with us, but if camping isn't your thing, here are a few local options:

There is a pub attached that has decent food/drinks and a great staff. We eat here regularly.
Additionally, there are quite a few properties available on Air B&B.

Short version, there isn't one: The Bride will be wearing a big white dress. The groom will be wearing a suit. As long as you're not also wearing a wedding dress, you can wear whatever you want! September in Maine can be quite warm or cool, so please bring clothing for both possibilities.
Friday night: We are working to get one or two food trucks to come up for an informal dinner for folks to eat while they arrive, set up tents etc. This will be BYOB (Bring your own beer/drinks)
Saturday morning: Breakfast/lunch on your own in town.
Saturday Evening: Appetizers and drinks before/right after the ceremony. And then we are having a pig roast! There will be lots of sides, drinks, and most importantly, CAKE to go with the meal!
Sunday morning: Breakfast on your own in town.
For people who do not eat pork for religious reasons, there will be a limited quantity of alternatives available.
If you have a genuine life-threatening allergy to something please let us know and we will try to accommodate you.
For people who choose not to eat gluten/dairy, etc. for reasons other than those that will cause a serious or life-threatening consequence, there are three grocery stores in town that sell many dairy and gluten free products, which you are very welcome to purchase and bring to the party.
We already have plenty! We also recognize that many of you are traveling a great distance to celebrate with us. Please do not feel that you need to bring us a gift. We are just happy to see you!
We get it, your dog/cat is fabulous…but you're going to have to leave them at home!
Autumn in Maine can be quite dry and fires can quickly get out of hand. Please only have fires in designated areas.
